RDrake’s anime roamings

Moving to a new home!

I’m in. Finally got myself into animeblogger.net. Now all I have to do left is to fix up the new place which is incidentally the hardest part. It mean that I probably won’t be posting anything here until renovations are complete, and only to inform you guys about that.

It’s been a good time here in WordPress. Yes, I say it’s quite alot better than many other blog sites, but AB.net’s community is very tempting and welcoming…If not for the fact that almost everyone is getting addicted to Pangya. Not that I mind, it’s a very nice game in it’s own right.

Lull day information

Tomorrow being the first day of school is leaving my mind blank. No anime related post today.

Congratulations to Tsubaki for sorting out the mess with the troll Toshiaki and his animedeshodesho.com. Without further ado, I would like to roundly criticise Toshiaki for being such an ass and make a call for calm on all fronts of the anime community. Let’s just be glad it’s over and not do something stupid, ok?

I also figured something out. Initially, when I started this place up, I had intended for lots of colour, pictures, and stuff. Then over time I realized that I am teh phail at GFX…

So let me put this positively. Here’s the signboard of approval…

Lolz, isn’t it? Sadly, I don’t think this is going to help things much.

7D away in Osaka

Well, just to say something before I go. I’ll be taking a one week vacation in Osaka from 8th December to 15th December. Not exactly sure what I intend to do there, but most certainly I won’t be around here to write stuff up. Well, see you guys then, it’ll only be one week…

Oh, and does anyone know what’s good to see and do in Osaka?

Up to speed…

In  a blink of an eye, it’s the middle of November already…people in America have finished off their Thanksgiving turkeys, no doubt. Not surprising, I guess, given that the first half was mainly exams…exams suck, avoid them if possible.

Ok, the main purpose of this post is to keep track of what exactly I have been, am, and will be going to watch this month…Also, a minor list of what I’ll be writeing up here. That’s the good part about not doing episode reviews, you can almost plan out what you’ll be writing…

November anime line-up for RDrake: (Note, these are, as of this point, listed in order of anticipation…ok, in rough groups, I hate such ranking…)

Following:
1. NHK ni Youkouso
2. D.Gray-man
3. Code Geass – Hangakyu no Lelouch
4. Red Garden
5. FLAG
6. Soukyou no Strain
7. Sentou Yousei Yukikaze
8. Pumpkin Scissors
9. Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto (I actually typed that out without a reference, lol.)
10. Le Chevalier D’eon
11. Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan
12. Nurse Witch Komugi-chan Magikarte Z
13. Ghost Hunt

Correction. I just realized that there being so many anime this month, there is no real ranking amongst them all…I’ld go crazy…

Dropped:
1. Yoake mae yori ruriiro na
2. Bartender
3. Gundam Seed Stargazer (finished)

Plans for RDrake’s anime roamings?
1. Get up at least two more renders here.
2. Buy another figurine during the holidays and take some decent photos. (Both are longshots, though…)
3. First impression write-ups for any series in the first list I have not yet already written up. (Basically, just about everything…lol…lot’s of work…)
4. Laze about and do nothing…

Well, due to the need for orderliness, anything else that could have been said here will be put off until an appropriate post arises, this one will be mostly those lists…

Er…??? What’s this???

Yestersay, I went back to the animenano User CP to check the status of my blog submission to my blog submission entry. I kinda got a shock when I noticed that the screen that normally shows the status had reverted to the original submission form.

Now, yes, I am sure that this is not a mistake on my part. I know very well that I submitted that form a few weeks back. I also am very sure that until yesterday, I’ve been seeing “Your entry is being processed” or something along those lines in the same page.

So…now the million dollar question is…what exactly does this mean?

I’ve thought of a few possibilities. 1, it’s a perfectly normal system error or glitch and all I have to do is to resubmit the form… 2, my entry has been rejected…I don’t quite like that one too… 3, OMG, hung is being lazy and has swept all the work on his desk straight into the recycle bin!!!

Ok, fine I’m getting paranoid on the last point, but the big problem is that I really have no way of knowing what is going on. Can someone help me out there a little?

O levels are over, I’m back.

Yes, I’m back now. 16 years old have finished their exams…but my brain is a mess. What more, my desktop has decided to take this very crucial period to bl0ow up on me, so I can’t watch any anime at all now…

Yup, so no article today. I’ll talk about something else besides anime then…

Ok, I got it. Let’s see, how do you readers find links for your blogroll. Do you like to have a huge list or a simple, exclusive one?

See, recently, I’ve been finding that people I don’t know have been adding me to their blogrolls. I only find out about this when someone comes over to my side from their’s. Not that I’m against this, the extra hits are welcome, but it’s a little surprising. Are they followers of my irregularly produced articles then? Because personally, I wouldn’t really just put someone on my blogroll just paf, like that, without observing him for a while, checking to see if it really is wise to associate with him/her. Sometimes, I’ll add that person immediatly if he’s a big name, e.g tj_han’s RIUVA, but that’s about it. Really, given my daily hits, I wonder if I’m even noticed at all…

Sigh…oh well. That doesn’t mean I don’t want people to link to me. Go ahead if you want. Oh, and tell me if you do, so I can link back.

It’s a funny way of destress…

I’m weird, yes. Comes with being part of the GEP for 5 years…I’ve recently found out that making renders if very calming for me. Few things beat sitting down at the computer screen, plugging my headphones in, then scrubbing the colour off a poor little image pixel by pixel when it comes to destressing…

To celebrate this newly discovered fact, I’ll be setting up a render page…soon. Mid-November, most likely. I’ll try make renders and leave them there for people to use. I’m also considering whether to accept requests…

All this idea came out when I found out that anime renders are hard to procure. Certain sites have them, but require forum membership and participation. Not that I’m not interested, but more of not having so much time. In any case, the more ‘free’ sites don’t contain many useful or interesting or relevant images…

To kick things off, I’ll leave this here. Primula from Shuffle!. Just adorable…

Yes, I do realize the hair part at the back is somewhat messy right now. But I tried putting it against a back ground, and it works out…
